For fans of: Killswitch Engage, Demon Hunter, Lamb of God, Parkway Drive

The Divine Project is a name that has long been a staple in Ontario’s heavy music scene. While founding member and guitarist Eric Divine has seen different members grace the stage under TDP name, he’s emerged with a solid lineup in 2025 featuring vocalist Ro Stevens, Mitch Greenham (drums), David T. Anselmo (guitar) and Derek “DRock” Boshkov (bass).

The name of their 2025 EP Rebirth is fitting. This album feels like an evolution for the band. The Divine Project is ready to be reborn.

The 4-song EP released in November 2025 gets down to business and lets you know exactly what you’re in for within the first minute of  leading track The Revolt. Booming drums underscore a dissonant guitar line that quickly transitions into a catchy fast-tempo metal riff. Every song has its own distinct identity, albeit with a strong family resemblance of sound.  The exact genre of the album seems nearly ephemeral, at times leaning towards metalcore (similar to Parkway Drive’s Killing With A Smile), transmuting into deathcore, and then flirting heavily with classic death metal. Ro’s vocal range is wide, able to give you everything from low guttural screams to rich, neo-operatic tenor melodies. It’s an absolutely captivating blend of feral, unrestrained energy and beautiful vocal tone that is very reminiscent of Killswitch Engage’s Howard Jones.

Rebirth is a 17-minute EP that’s a start to finish banger. Check it out now.

On March 27, The Divine Project took to the stage in Toronto at See Scape alongside Selias, Born Broken, The Outer Gods, and Vultures as part of their March Mayhem tour. Coming out to a packed crowd, the songs off Rebirth came to life under the stage lights, signalling a new era for the band. During their set, they literally got in people’s faces, jumping off the stage to play amongst the crowd and those moshing just feet away. To see them live, expect a high energy set, a rowdy crowd, and some heavy ass music.

You can catch The Divine Project at NXNE this coming June. The date and location is still to be announced, so follow TDP on their social media for more details.
